Make up a story!

Playing a game with the kid. She gave me four things which I then had to incorporate into a story. My four things were bouncy ball, trumpet, cd and hay bale.

_____

There was a tiny little boy who had long orange hair. His grand father had given him a trumpet and it was his most prized possession. He loved playing it every chance he got. One day he was listening to one of his grandfather’s cds. He hadn’t listened to this one before and was quite surprised to hear his grandfather’s voice in the middle of one song.

His grandfather told of the magical mystical bouncy ball that was rumored to never stop bouncing once started. The tiny little boy perked up. He was going to find that magical mystical bouncy ball and nothing will stop him.

He blew his trumpet tam tarararaaaa! and he headed out of his house. As he walked he came to a sign right next to a farm. The sign said “This way to the magical, mystical bouncey ball!” and there was an arrow pointing into the farm.

With another tam tarararaaaa! on his trumpet, the  boy followed the arrow to a giant hay bale in the middle of the farm. He knew at once that the magical, mystical bouncy ball was inside the bale of hay. He blew another tam tarararaaaa! on his trumpet and dived head first into the hay bale.

He found a basketball but it didn’t feel like the magical, mystical bouncy ball so he threw it out and kept looking. His hands closed on a football, a tennis ball, a golf ball but those were not the ball he sought. He was just about to give up when his nose bounced into something soft yet firm and he brought his hand up and cleared some hay away from his face and lo and behold the magical, mystical bouncy ball was right in front of him. He blew a tam tarararaaaa! on his trumpet, grabbed the magical bouncy ball and climbed out of the hay bale.

With one last tam tarararaaaa! the boy threw the magical, mystical bouncy ball very hard at the ground next to his feet. It hit the ground and then flew up straight into the air until it disappeared from sight. he thought it had must have bounced all the way to the moon. The magical mystical bouncy ball fell back, hit the ground and flew off again. this time he was sure it reached the stars. The next time it reached the clouds. he gave a contented sigh and started playing his trumpet as he watched the magical mystical bounce ball bounce.

Some say he is still there playing his trumpet and some say that the magical mystical bouncy ball is still bouncing.,
